There are two levels of
membership to TSW Dolphins: Competitive Membership, Non-Competitive Membership.
Competitive Membership
This
entitles members to compete officially. Membership to TSW Dolphins
automatically means they are registered to Wellington Swimming
Association and Swimming New Zealand. Swimmers cannot compete for
official times without being a registered swimmer. Annual fees
are due on April 1 and includes a compulsory $20 non-competitive
membership fee for a parent/caregiver. Refer to the Membership
Application Form below for the fee schedule.
New members also receive
a TSW Dolphins racing cap as part of their membership fee.
Membership Application Form
Non
Competitive Membership
This allows anyone to
become a financial member, without the option of competing. One parent or
caregiver must sign up with their swimmer as a non-competitive member. The
annual cost for additional non-competitive members is $20.
Advantages of being a
non-competitive member are that parents/caregivers can:
- Participate in club decision making. (Members need to be 16 and over and a
financial member to vote at the AGM or hold an official club position.)
- Become
technical officials (timekeepers, recorders, starters, referees) under
Swimming New Zealand rules.
Coaching
Fees
In addition to the annual TSW Dolphins
membership fee, swimmers pay coaching fees to TSW Swim School. These are
based on a sliding scale, with the cost reducing the more sessions a swimmer
attends. |
